This notice is provided at the point where you can submit information to Home Solar Simplified. Information you enter is optional until you choose to request a consultation or introduction.

Information collected

Contact information (name, email, phone), property location and address, property authorization, solar and battery interests, requested providers, approximate electricity bills and monthly electricity use, optional utility statements or appliance images, correspondence, and consent choices. Technical systems may process IP addresses, device and security logs. Some non-contact assessment answers are saved in browser storage to support resume on this device.

Purposes

We use this information to respond to customer inquiries, evaluate a solar project, contact the customer about their request, perform address checks, prevent abuse, maintain records of permissions, and, if separately authorized, facilitate an introduction to selected or participating providers. We may receive referral compensation. We do not use submission of this form as consent to automated telemarketing calls or texts.

Recipients and retention

Service providers involved in website hosting, email delivery, address checking and operational support may process information for those purposes. When you authorize it, a participating solar company may receive relevant submitted details for an introduction. Optional utility bills may contain sensitive details: redact account numbers, bank or payment information before uploading. Records may be retained as reasonably needed for request fulfillment, security, recordkeeping, disputes and legal obligations; specific retention schedules require operational review.

Your choices and rights

You can decline optional uploads or stop before submitting. You can ask for access, correction, deletion, opt-out and other applicable privacy rights; requests may require identity verification and are subject to legal exceptions. Depending on the law and our processing activities, additional sale/sharing opt-out mechanisms may be required. Email homesolarsimplified@gmail.com with “Privacy rights request.” To withdraw contact permission, include “Revoke contact permission” in your email. If you receive an automated message in the future, follow its opt-out directions.
