PACE's energy program provides a local LIHEAP application route for specified Los Angeles County service areas and eligible energy accounts. Its current Energy page lists 213-353-3982 for program contact and emergency-disconnection appointments. Online, mail and drop-off application routes remain described during the office move; this does not guarantee funding or approval. It serves a defined list of cities and ZIP codes; it does not cover every Los Angeles County household. Start on its official page and use CSD's finder if your address is outside the listed area.
Check the move notice first. PACE's current website says its Wilshire offices are closed to visitors during a move. Its energy page gives instructions for continued application service. Confirm the current submission address and any emergency arrangements before traveling; an older directory's walk-in instructions may not reflect the move.
Prepare the packet PACE requests. Its application instructions call for identity information, complete current electric and gas bills, current household-income evidence and housing-cost documentation, with additional records depending on the situation. Ask how to handle adults without income, cash income or a bill held in another person's name. Use the current checklist instead of assuming every agency accepts the same documents.
Choose an official submission route. The site links to California's online LIHEAP portal and describes mail/drop-off instructions. Use the route appropriate to the household and the latest office notice. Make copies and check that bill pages, dates and income periods are legible. Do not send original personal documents unless the current administrator instructions specifically require them.
Plan for processing rather than assuming immediate relief. PACE warns that applications can take up to five months. That notice is not a promise that every case will finish on the same schedule. Keep the application identifier, submission date and the email or other contact method the agency will use. Follow its current instructions for status inquiries and missing documents.
An urgent bill remains an account issue too. Contact the utility with the shutoff deadline and ask which extension or repayment options are actually approved. Tell PACE about the notice through its official emergency instructions. A portal receipt does not itself suspend the utility's payment deadline.
Check what an approval actually delivers. Distinguish a pending case, a request for additional records, an award and a credit posted to the energy account. If PACE cannot help, ask whether another provider or service fits the address and circumstances. Look separately at ongoing utility discounts and weatherization.
