Solar and Battery Help in Ventura County: Where to Start
Check your electricity providers before shopping. Separate battery rebates, income-qualified solar assistance and programs with waitlists.
Program information checked October 5, 2026. Confirm current availability with the administrator.

Your bill is the starting point
Ventura County is a useful place to search for assistance, but a county address alone does not qualify a household. Check both the electricity delivery company and any generation provider listed on your bill. If Clean Power Alliance appears, open our separate CPA rebate guide; if SCE appears, review its program rules too.
Three paths to investigate
CPA lists Sun Storage incentives for eligible solar batteries and Power Response rewards for eligible connected devices. These are different programs with different obligations; ask CPA whether your proposed equipment and account can participate in both.
CPUC lists DAC-SASH as accepting applications. Eligible SCE households may qualify for no-cost rooftop solar through GRID Alternatives; income, homeownership and a designated disadvantaged-community address matter. SCE separately reports its Residential Solar and Storage Equity funding exhausted, with applications waitlisted.
A practical comparison
Imagine a homeowner with an existing solar array who wants outage backup. They should first identify the circuits they want powered, then request a battery-only price. A different homeowner seeking a complete solar system should investigate income-qualified installation assistance before arranging a loan. These fictional situations show why a single countywide rebate number would be misleading.
How to take the next step
Use the official program links below. Have a recent bill, the proposed battery model and installation dates ready. Ask whether funding can be reserved before work starts. Keep the full project cost and each confirmed incentive on separate lines, and get the outcome if funding is unavailable in writing.
Ventura-area city and ZIP-code examples
The CPA program guide lists verified postal-area examples from its Reliability+ map, including Ventura, Camarillo, Moorpark, Ojai and Simi Valley. Open that guide for the ZIP codes and official address lookup. Your postal address does not replace the account, equipment and funding checks.

- Which generation and delivery providers appear on my bill?
- Is funding open, reserved or waitlisted for my application?
- Does this help buy equipment or pay for later participation?
