Have a Home Battery? Check Clean Power Alliance's Participation Rewards

What the program offers

Power Response Smart Home lists $400 at signup and $300 per year subsequently for eligible solar home batteries. These are participation rewards, rather than an automatic reduction in the price of new equipment.

Check your equipment and responsibilities

Use the official device enrollment route to confirm eligibility. Read the current participation agreement before authorizing battery operation. Ask how the program handles backup reserves, outages, opting out and any other energy program you already use.

A useful comparison

If you already own a battery, participation rewards may deserve investigation without buying additional equipment. If you are shopping for a battery, compare its full installed cost and any separately approved purchase rebate first. Treat future rewards as dependent on continued participation.

Questions worth asking

• Is my battery eligible?
• What operation am I agreeing to?
• What backup reserve remains?
• Can my existing programs be combined?
